I can't believe I am still cutting summer flowers from the garden in November.
But don't let that fool you, it is definitely the weather for winter warming food. Tonight we had butternut squash risotto. Plenty of sage and garlic, with parmesan grated on top. Yummy.
I've been looking at wood burning stoves for the kitchen/dining room. I like this image. We did a bit of hunting and think the one below might be it?

Great wood burner. It would definitely fit it well. How exciting! xx
ReplyDeleteYep! Toasty toes and pink cheeks ahoy! :) xx
ReplyDeleteThat wood burner looks incredible, I love it! x PS That risotto sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'm no great cook, but by some miracle it was good! All those caramelised garlicky sagey bits had me drooling like Homer J Simpson. x
ReplyDeleteWe are about to get the very same wood burner I am so glad I am not the only person who likes the cream ones
ReplyDeleteOh that's nice! I kind of assumed black was the only option until I saw this, but as soon as I did, I thought, that's the one for us. I like the lightness of feel. You'll have to let me know how good it is!
