Moon River

Andy Williams died yesterday. This was his theme tune. So long Mr Williams, RIP.

But I must admit I can't hear it without thinking of one of my favourite films, Breakfast at Tiffany's. When I first saw it, I was living in a flat in the same building as a boy called Paul, I had a ginger cat and I had long dark hair just like Holly Golightly. Here's a lovely taster.

I agree - A great song. I have just posted the same link : ) Apparently they are remaking Breakfast at Tiffany's (my fav. film too) with Kiera Knightly rumoured to play Holly (not sure about that) George Peppard is gorgeous as Paul - Swoon, he couldn't be replaced. Just found this on tinernet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZzQhIBpaec

Oh no, that doesn't sound good to me. Remake, Keira Knightley. No, not for me.
That is a really interesting clip, I found it particularly interesting about Mickey Rooney as Mr Yunioshi. When I was teaching, I once showed the film to my language students, some of whom were Japanese and I remember just cringing with embarrassment at his portrayal. xx

I know that bit with Mr Yunioshi is embarrassing nowadays. I'm not keen on a remake either but would still go and see it anyway just so I can diss it lol! x
