It's not my fault

Really. This is the house I went home to after my first few days in the world and this is how they dressed me.

So, you see, it's no surprise I turned out the way I did, with cuckoo clocks and cow bells and edelweiss and pictures of chalets everywhere.

Here's my latest dirndl, I got it in a charity shop in Bristol earlier on this year. The t-shirt was from a car boot, 50p, the vintage edelweiss bracelet came from ebay and the clogs were bought in Sweden on my holibobs earlier on this year. My first ever outfit post. I'm not a natural in front of the camera, but I'm learning to be brave as I get older.

Do any of the rest of you out there have any shots of you in a dirndl, either now or then? I'd love to see them, maybe start a gallery.

Great pic Tan - You can take the girl away from the cuckoo clock but you can't take the cuckoo clock out of the girl hey? I better not show Marc the pic of you in your clogs and dirdl as he would LOVE me to wear one and add a pic to your gallery. He has German blood and sausgage, lederhosen and slapping thighs is defo his thing lol!

Steph I would LOVE it if you would wear an alpine inspired costume for my gallery. I'm almost tempted to email Marc direct!! I can definitely see that thigh slapping would be on his list of favourite things :)

It was the photo of Lois on facebook which inspired me, I just loved that photo of her and her sis in their tiny dirndls.

How funny, I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were getting on! Actually it was you that inspired me to 'expose' myself after you took the plunge a little while ago. Lovely to hear from you. xx
