I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date

Two weeks, near enough. I've been Missing in Action. Dealing with all sorts of drama.

There was the 50 page booklet which needed to be designed at the last moment, the car breakdown, the family escapades, the tenant problems, the tax returns, the this, that and the blah blah blah.

I didn't even have time to say to the Universe, "I don't have TIME for this". And that's one of my favourite phrases.

It shouldn't happen to a blogger. But sometimes it just does.

So anyway, 12 short days ago, three young ladies woke up and said to themselves, 'Hey ho, hey ho, it's off to shop we go'. We're on a self-appointed mission to find treasure in the charity shops of this Kingdom, one town at a time. This time is was Burton-on-Trent. If you want to hear about the history, Vix is the authority. If you want to know about the charity shops, Curtise has that covered.
So instead I'll present to you the themes of the day. Firstly, of course, there was glamour. Here's Vix, looking like Priscilla Presley in the most amazing jumpsuit, and there's Curtise looking like a sexy Principal Boy in her short dress and boots.
We also visited the Animal Kingdom. My little pony to remind us of Krista and a rather imposing bull.
Curtise, making overtures to a ladybird.
Is that a T-Rex I see before me?

No, it's the perfect cape.

From Welsh Wales, the first of the countries we visited. After that we went to Sweden for this fabulous bag, Austria for a Dirndl with the cutest label...
...and New York, New York in the US of A!
I stayed mainly in Switzerland, land of my birth exactly 48 years ago tomorrow!
We tried on hats, we drank alcohol, gave an old man the thrill shock of his life, we chatted, shopped and laughed and laughed and laughed.

These two, what a lovely pair.
When shall we three meet again? And where? And who else is coming?

Hahahahaha! Oh that has made me laugh, all over again! We met animals, travelled the world (vicariously), and look at me and Vix about to have a snog at the station! The chap behind us is giving us a dirty look - whatever for?
Brilliant day, fabulous photos, and the scarf and Heidi weather chalet are perfect for a little Swiss Miss!
I've been wearing my cape today, but I'm rather regretting not buying that wedding hat now...
So yes - where are the three (or more) chazzin' witches going next?
Happy birthday for tomorrow, sweetheart - your pressie's in the post! xxxx

Fabulous you all are! Much glamour, world travel and bargains. Not to mention the accosting of oversized toys. Did the mere presence of Vix's bum make that stool light up? Curtise for Buttons I say...three shows a day and a Sunday matinee with Biggins. I'm there.
I'm also there on the next day out.
Have a splendid birthday.
Loadsa love.

Happy Happy Birthday to you! I'm afraid I'm going to fashionable late with your parcel, too!!!
What a fab time we had, I can't believe it was two flippin' weeks ago! That chap at the station's face is a picture. I bet that expression followed us and our antics around all day. Poor old Burton, eh?
Love that weather house!
Thanks for testing the 48 year old baton out first! xxxxxxx

Another gorgeous Sag! Happiest of birthdays beautiful! I love that you are Swiss born, I dated a Swiss guy for years and learned so much from him about Switzerland, I've wanted to go visit ever since.
These pictures make me happy because you can feel the joy in them. I think you take some great photos too. I love the one of the gals in sailor hats and waiting for the train. Nothing beats days like that and I love that I was mentioned upon seeing my lil pony!
Really enjoy your day tomorrow.

What IS Curtise up to, ferreting under the faux fur of Vix??? Yes please, I'd like to be there next time but I'd rather it wasn't in thunder, lightening or in rain.
Hope the birthday was a good 'un.
