This week I shall be mainly stripping

In our bedroom. The Last Bastion of Grottiness.
Look what I found on the wall Curtise! It's Lord Woody and I, getting ready for tennis.
Vix, those arse-scratchers get everywhere. Invasion of the Arse Scratchers.

I have a full week off work and no commitments other than to myself. Can't remember the last time that happened. What an incredible luxury. Aaaah...

So I had breakfast in bed. Start as you mean to carry on.

I've been doing a bit of titivating. I'm a sucker for these little sets of shelves. Got them at the YMCA. There was no price on them, so she said £4. I did an amateur dramatics shocked face and sucked my teeth. I said I was thinking £1.50. She said no way, £3. I said £2.50. Wheeling and dealing. Ducking and diving. Tight as.

Despite the fuzzy photo, I am linking to Wendy's Thrifting Tuesday.

In other news, there's a slightly evil undertone in the kitchen. I have my suspicions about the dishwasher.

Hahaha! Love your little cartoons. Invasion of the arse scratchers and Lord Woody, brilliant.
Those shelves are great, haven't seen any for years, perfect for retro nick-knackery like yours.
Good luck with the Last Bastion Of Grottiness, I'm looking forward to the grand reveal. xxx

Ooh, stripping! Mind you don't get blisters, it's bloody hard work!

Love your cartoons, Arse Scratchers of the World, unite and take over - with wooden tennis rackets as their weapons of choice, of course.
Great shelves, all your little bits and bobs look gorgeous.
Good luck with the bedroom, and with the suspiciously niffy dishwasher! xxxxx

Bahaha, Invasion of the Arse Scratchers! They're everywhere!
I do hope you've got yer special shoes on for the stripping....careful of the nasty stuff, it burns! Unless you're using a heat gun? Yay for being a handywoman!
I quite like those shelves, my Mama had ones like it. I'd have sometoo, only I don't do ornamental stuff as I have allergies and don't dust. I am a Domestic Slattern.
Don't worry about the evil undertone in the kitchen, just chuck a bible at it and it will sort itself out!!

More nudity and even better cartoon nudity!
You should treat yourself to breakfast in bed as often as possible.

Call in the exorcist! Love your little tennis girl drawing. In my old house we uncovered loads of weird drawings, like a huge Donald Duck head effigy. I really love those little shelves, everyone else can find them but me! Keep stripping and show us when it's all finished! xxx
